Fuchi & Kashira
L’ensemble fuchi & kashira constitue les deux extrémités de la tsuka.
Le fuchi est un anneau de métal qui verrouille l’entrée de la tsuka et sécurise celle-ci lorsque le nakago (la soie) de la lame s’insère à l'interieur. Cette pièce est toujours en métal : en fer, en argent ou en cuivre.
Le kashira peut être en metal ou en corne noire.
Il est possible d’avoir un ensemble accordé fuchi & kashira ou d’avoir le fuchi en métal et le kashira en corne noire.

The fuchi & kashira set constitutes the two ends of the tsuka.
The fuchi is a metal ring that locks the entrance to the tsuka and secures it when the nakago (tang) of the blade fits inside. This element is always made of metal: iron, silver or copper.
The kashira (pommel) could be made with metal or with black horn.
It is possible to have a fuchi & kashira with the design paired or to have the fuchi in metal and the kashira in black horn.
You will find models at Seido or I can make these elements myself in black patinated iron.
